1.      What does Paul say about the gospel he preached to the Corinthian Christians (1)? What is the effect of the gospel (2)? 
 
2.      How did Paul receive the gospel (3a; Acts 9:1-32; Gal 1:11-24)? How did he pass the gospel to the Corinthian Christians in particular (3b; 1Co 2:1-5; Acts 18:1-29, 20:18-21; 1Th 2:1-9)?
 
3.      What are the essential truths of the gospel (3c,4; Lk 2:10)? Why is Christ’s death for our sins so important (Ro 3:23, 6:23; Heb 9:27; 2Co 5:10; Rev 21:8)?
