For the Glory of God,
(New Jersey UBF Mission Report by John Park)

John 17:4 “I have brought you glory on earth by completing the work you gave me to do."

I. 2008

In the beginning of the year 2008, NJ UBF chose Genesis 1:28 as its key verse in order to serve Purdue Summer Conference with a great sense of stewardship and with the desire to be fruitful and increase in number. Our prayer topic for PSU was to invite 120 attendants from New Jersey and to serve 120 guests abroad. It was the amazing grace of God who fulfilled our prayer topic miraculously by 80 attendants from New Jersey and 160 guests from abroad. God, in his awesome grace, has employed unusual means to make our ministry fruitful and increase in number.

First, Change. Just as Obama was chosen as president for his stance on change in 2008, in the pioneering history of NJ UBF, there has been great change. M. Moses Kim, who had been co-working with me to pioneer NJ campuses for over 15 years, was sent out to pioneer a new chapter in NJ on Nov, 23, 2008. God raised him up as a new chapter director of pioneering campuses in the Trenton Area such as The College of New Jersey, Rider University, Thomas Edison State College. With his family, God sent Samuel's family, Caleb's family, 2GM. Ruthy Yang and New Moses Kim as his coworkers. I thank God for extending the territory of God’s kingdom in the New Jersey Area.

Second, Be fruitful. Throughout the year 2008, God had established two worship services, 11 AM for second generations and 3PM for campus students. God has raised up M. Peter Kim as a faithful and powerful servants of God’s words for 11 AM worship service. Through his stewardship for 2nd generations, New Moses Kim (Rider), Joseph Lee Jr (Rutgers), James Choy (NYU), Jonah Kim (Rutgers), Joel Park (Rutgers), John Park Jr. (NYU), Hannah Hong (Rutgers), and Ruth Yang (Rider) are growing as 2nd generations missionaries. Joseph Lee Jr has grown as a messenger for CBF and singspiration leader for all worship services, coworking with Hannah Hong. He has also been leading and serving “Five Loaves and Two Fish orchestra” faithfully as a conductor. John Park Jr from NYU comes to Sunday worship service every week and serves his sheep Abraham Kim with one to one every week and has invited him to worship service.

In 2008, God opened a new way to call missionaries from Korea. Missionary Abraham and Sarah Lee’s house church joined NJ ministry with H1 Visa through the business mission called “Princeton Honors Review”, which invited Moses and Sarah Pauline Kim's house church in 2007. I thank God for using the business mission of “Princeton Honors Review” to call many from Korea as missionaries. I pray that God may open the door for many Korean coworkers to come to America as missionaries by any possible ways.

In 2008, God who restored the faith of M. Rebecca Jung last year and blessed her to carry out one to one with an American girl student named “Hannah Baron” from Rutgers. Through M. Rebecca Jung’s shepherd life, Sister Hannah Baron has been faithful to Sunday Worship Service.
God sent M. Dr. Junhee and Hyunah Lee’s family from Standford UBF to New Jersey. Dr. Lee’s family joined the ministry of serving graduate students in Busch campus at Rutgers in the “Grace and Truth Fellowship” of Sh. Jason Perry. Thank God for raising up sh. Jason Perry as a remnant of God’s discipleship work in Princeton and blessing him to challenge his Ph. D in Computer Science at Rutgers. We pray for him to finish his Ph. D and to serve Princeton ministry in God’s time, co-working with Dr. Lee’s family.

God also blessed young missionaries who came to NJ through marriage by faith to feed God’s flock of sheep at Rutgers. M. Martin Ahn serves Steve Sala whose major is Physics at Rutgers. Brothers Steve is faithfully attending SWS. M. Rebecca Ahn is serving Rose from Rutgers. M. Matthew Kim also serves Xiofeng Chao from Rutgers with one to one. He attends SWS. M. Barnabas Moon, co-working with his wife, Mary Moon, always brings Amy Ortiz to one to one and SWS and faithfully and serves the group meeting of RURP.

Third, Increase in number. When we prayed to increase in number, God has blessed us to increase in many ways. 1) Through establishing RURP, which stands for Rutgers University Royal Priesthood (RURP) and 2) Through blessing many house churches to have new born babies. Served by Shepherdess Hannah Hong, RURP has been active in serving campus students through group Bible study. Through this campus meeting, God increases the number of campus students with Chanme, Jane Hand, and Dozie Uzoma, who are all from Rutgers. God blessed each house churches to increase in number through new-born babies. Hope is the daughter of Jason Perry, Margret is the daughter of Matthew Kim, Paul is the son of M. Barnabas Moon, Jacob is the son of Joseph Sohn, and Moses is the son of Dr. Lee. It is amazing to see how God makes us to increase in numbers in 2008 as we prayed!

Fourth, the love of God through the PSU Summer Bible Conference was abundant. By the grace of God, NJ UBF fulfilled its prayer topic of bringing 240 to PSU. While serving PSU, God enabled us to invite 3 second generation from Greece, 1 from Sweden, 2 from Uganda, and we gave them English training through Honors Review. During the post conference mission journey, God blessed Challenge and Faith Kim to marry by faith while serving all the guests. It was just like a wedding in Cana, Galilee after a great Summer Bible Conference. Sh. Barnaba Kim from Kwangju UBF officiated this wedding and blessed them abundantly. Most of all, through PSU, the love of God based on John 3:16 enabled us to work hard, being fruitful and increasing in numbers. Without the love of God, even if we worked harder, it would have been meaningless. The love of God through PSU was abundant in the hearts of all coworkers in NJ and all coworkers were joyful in giving and serving all guests from abroad.

II. 2009

We pray that we may reveal the glory of God in the USA by completing God’s work.
